Stainless Steel 430F Bars mainly consist of 16.0–18.0% chromium, along with up to 1.25% manganese and added sulfur (0.15–0.35%) to boost machinability. As a ferritic stainless steel, 430F boasts good magnetic properties, moderate corrosion resistance, and excellent machinability, making it a great fit for automatic screw machines. It offers moderate tensile strength (around 450–600 MPa), decent ductility, and a nice surface finish after machining. While it can’t be hardened through heat treatment, it retains its strength and performance in dry, non-aggressive environments, making it suitable for high-speed manufacturing and moderate-load applications.
